The Kenya Pavilion explored how the country is balancing its immense natural assets - its wild animals, amazing landscapes and fertile farmlands - with its ever-growing urban population and strong urban culture. Welcomed to the pavilion by an experiential look at traditional Maasai culture through dance and storytelling, visitors then enjoyed several exhibitions, managed by Pico: the National Park exhibition, which explained how Kenya’s wildlife lives in harmony with Nairobi’s expanding urban development and the New City of Nairobi section, presenting the city’s unique architecture; before finishing with a look at the Old City of Lamu, showing how the coastal city peacefully coexists with its ever-changing environment.
